Fish'n Blues mit Charles M. Mailer & Magic McVern

In the organizer's words:

The two have performed together in more than 150 concerts across Germany since 2019. They serve up a varied and groovy menu of their own songs, hand-picked blues standards, traditional country and Texas blues, but also ragtime, swing and boogie and act in the tradition of the musicians who performed in the juke joints of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta to entertain the audience - true to the motto: "Blues is when you laugh anyway!"

Charles M. Mailer "The Preacher of Blues" strains his vocal chords loudly and expressively in the style of Dr. John, stomps the sweat-inducing groove on the tapboard and jingle pedal and works his magic on the white and black keys of the piano.

Werner "Magic Vern" Burhop plays his blues, inspired by the "Chicago style" of Little Walter or Sony Boy Williamson, authentically on the harps.
You can also hear well-known blues classics adapted into "Meefränggisch" and original songs written by Mailer (piano, vocals) garnished with stories about being a musician "on the street" in Meefränggisch dialect.
