Finissage mit Konzert, Workshop-Präsentation und Filmpremiere

In the organizer's words:

Our current exhibition "künstlich" ends next Sunday. We would like to cordially invite you to the finissage on 9.2.2025 from 4 pm with a concert, a video premiere and experiments with art made from renewable raw materials.

The finissage begins at 4 pm with a concert by the Hänschen Grabow - Uwe Backhaus duo. The two musicians have been involved in the Wolfsburg music scene for many years in various formations, always focusing on jazz. They also played in the "Bistrothek", which is at the center of Klaus Römer's exhibition in the Raum für Freunde. Now the two musicians are back as a duo with guitar and percussion. They play their own compositions, which are based on the rhythms of Latin America and Africa. In each piece, the musicians are given the opportunity to present themselves in spontaneous improvisations.

The results of the "Art with Mushrooms" workshop, which took place as part of the "Artificial" exhibition, will also be presented. It was organized by our art education team Lokale Liaison and led by Alessandro Volpato. Over the course of several weekends, the twelve participants explored mycelium-based materials and tried out how these sustainably sourced materials can be used to create art. Various objects and Tetris modules were created in the process.

A film by Robert Stockamp, the guest of our last Fourth Shift in December, will also be shown. The film is an experiment that was created using artificial intelligence for video production and is based on Klaus Römer's photos from the Bsitrothek.
