Filmpremiere PAAR-LAUF – Der spannende Weg zum Frauenmuseum

The Women's Museum cordially invites you to the film premiere of "PAAR-LAUF - Der spannende Weg zum Frauenmuseum". The film is a narrative project with Marianne and Horst Pitzen and is based on the current exhibition "Horst Pitzen - Cultural Cross Connections".

The exhibition shows the multifaceted work of Horst Pitzen, whose photographic and serigraphic works since the 1960s reflect a precise examination of form, structure and cultural references. A recurring motif is the circle - visible in early experimental photographic works and in the series of ancient theaters from Turkey and Tunisia. Here, the symmetrical forms of the spectator stands emanating from the center find a visual parallel to the idealistic idea of the circle as a meeting place and community, which Pitzen addressed in the Circulus program gallery founded in 1971.
