Filmabend: Almost Famous – Fast berühmt

In the "Movies meet Music" series at the University of Music and Theatre, selected films from different eras are shown with a musical focus. For this occasion, we are transforming the JazzHall into a cinema. The cult classic "Almost Famous" will be presented - a loving homage to the rock 'n' roll of the 60s and 70s, accompanied by legendary songs from Simon & Garfunkel to Elton John. A special kind of coming-of-age story. 25 years after its premiere, the film has lost none of its charm, humor and emotional depth. To mark the anniversary, we are showing the restored cinema version (OmU) of this audience favorite. In the supporting program, film scholar Christoph Dobbitsch will provide fascinating insights into the film's genesis.
