In his quirky, sarcastic and surreal novel (made famous by David Fincher's legendary 1999 cult film with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt), Chris Palahniuk has created the prototype of the frustrated, self-alienated and isolated man of the 21st century. The white-collar worker as a potential apocalyptic and amok runner, as a border crosser between the surface and brutal abysses, as an ultra-adapted outsider in an inhuman world - the unsparing portrait of a disturbed personality whose clinical picture simultaneously represents the diagnosis of our capitalist, meaningless and secular epoch. It is the dystopian distortion of a disturbed society on a desperate search for redemption, which has forfeited its values in exchange for the celebration of eternal competition and the blind belief in progress.

Theater Plan B presents a scenic adaptation of this millennial cult novel in a series of scene changes - a play on the beat of the times, a commentary on an increasingly autocratic world.
