Count Almaviva is missing a hot night with Susanna for his happiness. So much so that he makes her a rather immoral offer and tries to prevent her wedding to Figaro, which is due to take place today. He doesn't even stop at blackmail. It's high time his wife spun an intrigue with the lovers so that Almaviva learns who's really the boss here. Can Figaro's wedding still be saved? And what is the young Cherubino doing in the bedrooms all the time?

There are only a few comedies in the opera repertoire - Figaro's Wedding is one of the best. Mozart's stroke of genius is perfectly balanced between comedic mix-ups, witty situations and surprising twists. Wonderful arias, duets and tercets complete this magnificent work.
