In 2024, we will be celebrating our 20th birthday and freedom - because what better way to celebrate 35 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall?

That's why the 20th Festival of Lights is all about freedom. Freedom in Berlin, in Europe and in many countries around the world. But also the freedom that we wish for all the people who still have to dream of it.

With the anniversary edition of the Festival of Lights, we tell big and small stories about the freedom that makes Berlin a vibrant metropolis of creativity, confidence and joie de vivre with spectacular, breathtaking light art. Experience the capital literally in a completely different light and look forward to an unprecedented variety of colorful, captivating and literally glowing productions on the most famous and popular buildings in the capital.

The FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS has been illuminating Berlin every fall since 2005. The city becomes a shining stage and the monuments, buildings and squares become its stars!

With our light installations, sculptures and an enchanting supporting program, we tell stories, present cultures, arts and innovative technology and convey messages on current topics.
