Feminist Day of Struggle at Theater Bremen
On 8 March, Theater Bremen is hosting a diverse program for Feminist Strike Day. A sound installation, a feminist strike breakfast, plays with strong female characters and subsequent discussions with the audience are planned.
The International Feminist Strike Day has been around for around 100 years. In Germany, it began with the demand for women's suffrage - today the question is: what has been achieved, what are women and FLINTA* still fighting for? What is the reality of their lives? On this day, Theater Bremen offers space to listen, have a say, question and network.
Program on 8 March:
Feminist strike breakfast (10 am - 2 pm, noon / Foyer Kleines Haus): A cooperation between the noon and the Feminist Strike Bremen. FLINTA* only. In addition to having breakfast together (for a donation), banners and posters will be designed for the demonstration at 3 pm on the market square.
Sound installation (10 am - 4 pm, Goetheplatz): Ensemble members of the theater have recorded feminist texts to make the voices and experiences of women and FLINTA* heard.
Theater performances with audience discussions:
Antigone (Carson / Sophocles / Jach) at 7pm in the Theater am Goetheplatz. Followed by an audience discussion.
Soft Rebellion (Shakespeare / Keim Schaub) at 19:30 in the Kleines Haus. Followed by an audience discussion.
Free admission, breakfast for a donation.
