FEMALE* FIGHT CLUB

There is anger. There is outrage. Two women who have been silent for far too long meet in boxing training: Konni wants to get rid of her anger, Leo wants to get to know her anger. The training becomes a safe space for two topics that are still taboo in our society: regretting motherhood and orphaned parenthood .

Konni lets out her anger about feeling abandoned and overwhelmed as a mother. Leo's anger, on the other hand, has turned inwards after the death of her child and has become depression. She is looking for a way to free herself from her powerlessness.

20% of parents in Germany today would no longer have children if they could make the decision again. At the same time, around 7,000 babies die in Germany every year. We need a collective competence to deal with experiences of loss, disappointed hopes for life and emotional pain. We need the willingness to take our time when a new life arrives. And to take our time when a new life leaves. This is an anti-capitalist process in the most human sense. The Female* Fight Club opens up spaces in which it is possible to talk about what has been kept secret, as the characters overcome their speechlessness through physical activation.

Following the performances on 22.03 / 29.03 / 12.04, there will be an audience discussion in the presence of the team and individual experts.
