fem_pop: Piya & Semia

For the start of spring, fem_pop is hosting an indie night with piya and semia.

piya

Somewhere between chanson, indie and pop, piya creates her own world and her very own genre. You could call the fusion of virtuoso piano playing, electronic and experimental instrumentation, airy pop elements and urgent lyricism "nouvelle pop" or "new German chanson". In other words: piya has the musical courage of Sophie Hunger, the sonic warmth of CATT and the edgy lyrics of Tristan Brusch.

semia

Newcomer semia from Hanover stands for melancholic indie pop and rock that tells of heartache and unfulfilled dreams, but is so musically hyped that it makes you fly.

The music of semia is like dancing with tears in your eyes and finally forgetting the last crush - or getting even more into it.
