There are few Old Masters who are as successful with museum audiences as Rembrandt van Rijn, who was born in Leiden as the son of a miller. But what is it that makes this artist so fascinating? Why were so many young painters drawn to his workshop and what effect did his individual style have on his students? Two special exhibitions in Vienna and Leipzig in fall 2024 will focus on the genius of the golden age of Dutch painting. Let art historian Thomas R.
