FAMILY & FRIENDS

An exhibition by
Michelle Baumann & Jonathan Seiz

Family, consumption, nature - concepts that connect us, shape us and can be questioned at the same time. Between intimacy and irony, naturalness and artificial aesthetics, opposites unfold in two different positions.

In Michelle's works, organic forms made of fired clay merge harmoniously with moss and shiny metal elements. Her breast milk fountain is reminiscent of a Zen garden. Jonathan, on the other hand, plays with the traditional symbolism of gravestones and lends them an unexpected touch with his garish design.

Despite their contrasts, these two works find a common ground in an absurd way.
