Ewa Dziarnowska's remarkable choreographic work brings performers and audience together in an intensely experienced community. The sensual Durational Performance presents itself as an ambivalent game of proximity and distance, objectification and freedom, in which time seems to stand still. Somewhere between an installation, a decelerated ritual and a physical archive, This resting, patience explores desire, intimacy, attraction, but also loneliness and alienation. The audience is invited to linger for as long as they like.

In her artistic work, Berlin-based dancer and choreographer Ewa Dziarnowska counters conventional theatrical notions of meaningfulness and dramaturgical linearity. Using improvisation and embodied knowledge, she explores the poetic and sensual dimensions of dance in order to make it tangible in the field of tension between pleasure and pain, away from spectacle and alienation.
