Eröffnungswochenende "Doppelkäseplatte. 100 Jahre Sammlung. 20 Jahre Kunstmuseum Stuttgart"

In the organizer's words:

In 1925, works from the Stuttgart collection, which was then called the "Städtische Gemäldesammlung", were shown to the public for the first time in the Villa Berg. As the "Gallery of the City of Stuttgart", the collection was on display in the Kunstgebäude for many years before finally moving to the new building erected especially for it on Schlossplatz in 2005.

To mark its double anniversary, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is presenting an exhibition with works exclusively from its own collection - including numerous acquisitions and donations from recent years.

Stuttgart choirs with members from different nations congratulate the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart on its double anniversary. With their musical diversity, they reflect the internationality and diversity of Stuttgart's population.
11 am: Rosa Note - the queer men's choir
12 pm: Encanto - Brazilian choir
2 p.m.: German-Arab HiwarChor e.V.
3 p.m.: Ukrainian Greek-Catholic parish Basilius
4 p.m.: Firkat Classical Turkish Music Association Stuttgart e.V.
5 p.m.: Jazzchor Stuttgart e.V.

The performances each last approx. 20 minutes and start on the hour in different rooms in the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

11 am - 6 pm Art and games
In the museum and on the Kleiner Schlossplatz, children (from the age of 5) and adults can work on large works of art or create their own colorful pictures to take home.

11 am - 12 pm, 1 pm - 2 pm & 3 pm - 4 pm Exhibition tours
During a 60-minute guided tour through the exhibition "Doppelkäseplatte. 100 years of collection. 20 years of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart", individual works will be highlighted.
