In Arabic and Persian culture, we speak of "tarab" when music takes complete hold of the body, turns up the emotions, opens a gateway: into rapture, ecstasy, into other worlds. Worlds between day and night, past and future, here and elsewhere. An evening of intoxication - with Mozart, Transylvanian cantatas, Kurdish traditions and an octave in 31 steps.
