Influences from jazz, folk and traditional Mongolian music with the unique voice of Enji- on her new album 'Sonor', the Mongolian singer deals with questions of identity and homeland in a language rich in images, alert and hopeful. The lyrics deal with dreams, longing and the meaning of seemingly meaningless moments, framed in the sound and unique rhythm of the Mongolian language. Musically, she moves - as on her previous albums - between jazz and folk, without clearly assigning herself to one genre.
As a duo with guitarist and co-composer Paul Brändle, Enji creates a particularly intimate atmosphere and leaves behind moments of warming calm and powerful beauty with her songs.

"These songs sound so inventive, so free, yet so grounded - and if they end up calming your mind, the aim wasn't to numb it, but to open it. " - The Washington Post (Album of the Year)
