Behind the singer-songwriter and author Emil Bach is the linguist Philipp Heidepeter. In addition to engagements in his adopted home of Passau (e.g. Europäische Wochen, Café Museum), the artist, who grew up in the Westerwald, has performed in Munich (Vereinsheim Schwabing) and Vienna.
Emil Bach not only plays unconventional piano accompaniments, but also deals with the small and big questions of everyday life and sings about gay penguins, pizza deliveries to Atlantis and pasta with ketchup, among other things.
Where his songs lead often only becomes clear at the end, and the linguistically playful lyrics reveal a special mixture of thoughtfulness and humor that sometimes makes it difficult to pinpoint a basic feeling.
