However, the multi-talented actress is not only known in front of the camera, but also behind it as a director and voice actress. In her own films, she addresses all kinds of female challenges and issues of our time. We are dedicating a retro trilogy to Karoline Herfurth as part of our Nostalgica film series. What do you do when your biological clock keeps getting louder and there's no suitable partner in sight? Karla (Karoline Herfurth) is 39, radio presenter of a nightly music program and once again single. She longs to have a child and finally start a real family, but finding a suitable partner under time pressure is not so easy. So she decides to fulfill her desire to have children herself. And suddenly everyone has an opinion: her parents (Ulrike Kriener and Herbert Knaup), her siblings (Nora Tschirner and Milena Tscharntke), her friends, even her neighbors, even though they are all stuck in their own complicated lives. Only her best friend Senay (Jasmin Shakeri) is there to help her with advice and the right questions. And then fate intervenes when Karla meets the much too young Ole (Aaron Altaras), who doesn't fit into her plans for the future and turns everything upside down. (Source: distributor)
