Ein Schaf fürs Leben

The hungry wolf trudges through the snow on a cold winter's night. When he comes across an unsuspecting sheep, he manages to persuade it to go on a sleigh ride with him - with a clear goal: he wants to eat the sheep! But the outing turns into a fun and wonderful journey through the night and ultimately takes a surprising turn.

"A Sheep for Life" tells the story of an unusual friendship and love. When hungry wolf and naïve sheep meet, the innate instinct of the "sheep-eater" is put to the test, as is the naïve optimism of the sheep. The production for children aged 4 and over is based on the children's book by Dutch author Maritgen Matter, which was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in 2004. In a humorous, touching and conciliatory way, it depicts the rapprochement of an unequal couple who break down boundaries by accepting them.
