What are notebooks and how can they be edited? The academic conference will discuss the significance of notes for the literary work of various authors and problematize the particular challenges of archiving, editing and interpreting them. Two panels starting at 9:15 am and 3:00 pm will focus on: Johann Georg Hamann (Janina Reibold), Theodor Fontane (Gabriele Radecke), Friedrich Nietzsche (Beat Röllin), Walter Benjamin (Thomas Rahn), Heiner Müller (Kai Bremer), Friederike Mayröcker (Susanne Rettenwander) and Peter Handke (Katharina Pektor).
