based on the autobiography of the same name by Heidi Benneckenstein

In the early 90s, in the deepest Bavarian province. Heidi grows up in a family that appears unremarkable and middle-class on the outside. But appearances are deceptive: Heidi's father is a staunch neo-Nazi who uses a handphone instead of a cell phone and considers authority more important than affection. He regularly sends Heidi to right-wing vacation camps. There she learns, for example, to sing all three verses of the Deutschlandlied and to make a fretwork of the German Reich within the borders of 1937. At school, the two worlds collide and force Heidi to lead a kind of double life.
For the first 18 years of her life, Heidi only knows this reality. Her youth consists of neo-Nazi concerts, binge drinking and fights. At some point, the right-wing singer-songwriter Felix appears in her circle of friends and the two become closer. Slowly, Heidi's world view begins to crumble. But leaving is dangerous.
