In our 3-part course on the potter's wheel, the focus is on getting to know the individual steps involved in throwing and glazing. This offer is particularly suitable for beginners who would like to experience the entire process of ceramic production. You will produce 3-5 pieces during the course. All materials required are included in the course fee. It is important that you have time on all days. The glazing date can be postponed if necessary. 1ST DATE - THROWING Today you will learn the basic techniques for throwing on the potter's wheel - from centering and breaking up the clay to raising the walls. As a rule, you will be able to produce 3-5 pieces during this time. Please allow an additional 20-30 minutes to clean up together after the pottery session. 2ND SCHEDULE - FINISHING Now your workpieces get the finishing touches. Your vessels are now in a "leather-hard" condition. We will show you how to produce a smooth base or a foot ring for your work using the turning technique. 3rd TERM - GLAZING Finally, you will add color to your pieces and can choose from a variety of glazes. You will learn how to use dipping glazes. Please note that painting the ceramics with brushes is not included in this course. Your finished pieces will be ready for collection approximately 2 weeks after the last session. GOOD TO KNOW: It's easier to make pottery with short fingernails! Turning on the potter's wheel is a muddy affair. It's best to bring a change of clothes or wear something that can get dirty. After completing the course, you can practise independently on the wheel in our workshop. Book a membership or 10-ticket for this.

Rebooking & Cancellation

Cancellation policy: Your booking with us is binding. You can cancel or rebook your booking online up to 14 days before the start of the course at the latest. We will refund the course fee, minus transaction fees of between €5.00 and €15.00, depending on the course booked. Write us an email to hallo@craftingdiversity.de de if you are unable to attend your booked course at short notice, Note: In our workshops you will receive instructions on how to work with clay and glazes. Nevertheless, small imperfections may occur during the process or something may flake off. Defects in your work can therefore not be ruled out. We welcome young people aged 15 and over to our courses. For children aged 8 to 14, participation is only possible if accompanied by an adult, in which case two course places must be booked.
