DOTA and their band of the same name sound like bossa nova and swing, like campfire guitar and chanson, tell of the entangled and tricky feelings of everyday life and have been hitting the nerve of the times for 16 (!) albums now. Pointed poetry and German pop music at a level rarely encountered. Dramatic, melancholic, exciting, frightening and then again full of carefree joie de vivre. Imaginative arrangements and catchy tunes meet sophisticated harmonies and an unmistakable voice.
