Nikki Iles, Composer in Residence of the NDR Bigband 2023, has a love of imperfect things: A Love of Imperfect Things explores the boundaries of perfection.
Even as a child, the outstanding jazz pianist Florian Weber was enthusiastic about Maurice Ravel's La mère l'oye, an enchanting work that Weber "overpaints" compositionally for big band and symphony orchestra.
Dantesca by Luigi Grasso understands destruction as an integral part of reconstruction and brings light and shadow together.
