The Canadian singer-songwriter Dominique Fils Aimé is about to start her European tour,

She can also be seen live in Germany from July.

Her current album "Our roots run deep" was awarded a JUNO Award (Canadian Grammy) as best vocal jazz album in March 2024. Inspired by soul icons such as Billie Holiday, Etta James and Nina Simone, Dominique Fils-Aimé tells of the source of her soul with her self-written songs. The new & first French single "Moi je t'aime" will be released to accompany the tour.

Her first album trilogy conceptualized the history of African-American music. Dominique reflected on the social realities and the civil rights movement that influenced the blues, jazz and soul genres. Our Roots Run Deep is the first statement of a new trilogy and follows her #1# chart award-winning trilogy "Nameless", "Stay Tuned!" and "Three Little Words". Now Dominique looks inward and reflects on her own emotional and spiritual landscape - her roots.

Her new & first French single "Moi je t'aime" was released to accompany the tour. This song explores new sources of inspiration for the two-time JUNO award winner and is reminiscent of traditional French songwriters such as Edith Piaf. Although there is a stylistic change, Dominique's unmistakable vocals shine through.
