The JUNO Award winner (Canadian Grammy - Best Vocal Jazz Album 2020) from Montreal will release her fourth album "Our Roots Run Deep" after a sensational JAZZAHEAD concert in 2023 and come to Germany for a few concerts in July 2024.

Inspired by soul icons such as Billie Holiday and Etta James as well as contemporary artists such as Seinabo Sey and Sevdaliza, Dominique Fils-Aimé's self-written songs tell exciting stories straight from her soul.
Fils-Aimé can rely on a captivating yet gentle singing voice, which she gives plenty of room to unfold in the reduced arrangements of her sketchy songs.
Sometimes her band only contributes light percussion and handclaps, while the singer accompanies herself with choirs, humming or doo-wop loops. But then her band also creates a captivating groove - with African percussion, horns, synthesizers and expansive bass lines.
In 2022, Dominique Fils-Aimé presented her show in front of sold-out theaters in her home country at the Montreal Jazz Festival. She also performed with the great vocal jazz colleagues at double concerts in France - with Diana Krall in Marciac and with Melody Gardot in Viennes. She has also performed at other concerts at festivals and clubs in Barcelona, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Zurich, etc.

Her ambitious projects to date have also attracted media attention in Germany. With Three Little Words, Dominique concluded her album trilogy, which explored the roots of African-American music culture. On her acclaimed 2018 debut Nameless and its blues undertones, Dominique bravely confronted historical silence and mourning, while her second JUNO Award-winning album Stay Tuned! immersed herself in the civil rights movement of the 60s through jazz. With Three Little Words, Dominique embraced the emotional richness of soul music of yesterday and tomorrow and the album went straight to the Top 1 chart position in Quebec and Top 2 in Canada.
