Indian cuisine is becoming increasingly popular - and for good reason: India offers such a wide range of vegetarian dishes and sophisticated spices. In these cooking courses, you will not only learn about the variety, use and health benefits of Indian spices, but also learn a lot of cultural background to the various dishes from our Indian cooking instructor.
Diwali is the Indian New Year's Eve and also marks an important religious festival. On this day, the whole house is cleaned, everyone wears new clothes, friends and relatives are given sweets and quarrels are ended. In the evening, candles are lit everywhere to invite the goddess of luck. After telling religious stories in the family circle, a festive vegetarian meal is served.
We try to capture the atmosphere of this very important Indian festival and will cook a typical "Diwali feast".
Diwali takes place at the end of October/beginning of November, this year on November 1, 2024.
