Divorce for three shows in Germany

In 2022, Divorce from Nottingham were suddenly there - for real. According to their own statements, the four-piece band emerged from a quarter-life crisis and their explosive debut EP "Get Mean" drew the music press and fans into their universe between Tom Waits, LCD Soundsystem and Mitski. Their second EP "Heady Metal" spanned even further into the borderlands between alt-country, grunge and indie and inspired with longing, raw, driving and warm sounds. At Divorce, the focus is always on the lyrics, which not only bring pressure, rhythm and a lot of musicality, but also deal with serious, bizarre and sometimes terribly sad topics from the shared experiences of young people today in a refreshingly undidactic way. Divorce conjure up memories of the Golden Era of indie music with a great deal of musical joy and humor and yet always move forward: "better than literally every other band right now", as one YouTube commentator laconically put it. Their hit single "Gears" and the indie anthem "My Room" cemented their reputation - even offline - as one of the most exciting UK bands of the moment. At least as important as Divorce's songs and music videos are their rousing live performances: Sold-out tours and enthusiastic fans not only testify to the band hitting a nerve, they also increase the anticipation for their debut album "Drive to Goldenhammer", which will be released in March 2025, immeasurably - and fans in Germany can already look forward to the tour for the album, as the Brits have confirmed three concerts in Germany and will be playing in Munich, Berlin and Hamburg in May.
