Songs between dream and reality, between intimacy and alienation, between gray mining towns and a society fat on digital carbohydrates. From the solo beginnings of bassist and singer Johannes Rest, DIGITAL CARBS have developed into an insider tip on the Munich alt-rock scene. After their last release "Conform Deform", the band wasted no time and immediately began producing a follow-up EP.
In terms of sound, the band's new work is more dynamic than ever: from gloomy, beautiful acoustic ballads to manic, driving guitar storms, the musicians stop at nothing. Their new single "Telescope" is the latter, an explosive statement on the destruction of our planet. The band paints a dystopian picture of the world in which profit and machines are worth more than the well-being of the individual - "My machines, they eat love". DIGITAL CARBS once again prove their versatility and their ability to transform deep emotions into stirring music. Their new EP will be released on September 13, 2024.
Digital Carbs are Johannes Rest (vocals, bass), Konrad Diesch (drums) and Markus "Willy" Willmann (guitar).

Berlin based ATOMIC FRUIT combine dreamy, psychedelic rock with electronic beats and soundscapes. With members from Sweden, France, Pakistan and Italy, the group formed in 2021 after a serendipitous meeting at a SUUNS concert and their energetic liveshows quickly became a popular act in the Berlin underground scene.
Their debut vinyl "Play Dough" was released in the fall of 2023 to a sold out crowd at Schokoladen in Berlin and got featured in editorial playlists in Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal as well as airplay on Berlin radio station Flux FM.
The attention to sonic nuances and genre-bending character of the songs, along with beautifully structured melodies will definitely appeal to fans of alt-j and Radiohead. However, the band's approach to songwriting itself is unique and escapes easy comparisons. -Loudness Blog
