In the organizer's words:

Mother, father, child, child in an increasingly hot world. First the father drops out ("nervous breakdown" diagnoses the mother), then the joint practice for oral surgery becomes insolvent, the home falls victim to a forest fire (flying sparks? insurance fraud?) - and the marriage falls apart. The twin sisters split up with their parents and live unequal lives from then on. A double lottery tragedy about class and climate.
In 2022, Die Zukünftige by Svenja Viola Bungarten was awarded the Else Lasker Schüler Play Prize. According to the jury, it is a "complex, sophisticated, linguistically dense and highly musical play" that "elegantly interweaves personal and global catastrophes."
Alina Fluck (*1993 in Hamburg) worked as an assistant director at Schauspiel Köln. Her directorial debut der herzelfresser by Ferdinand Schmalz premiered there in 2018. In 2023, she completed her studies in drama directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin with a production of Marieluise Fleißer's Eine Zierde für den Verein.
