In the organizer's words:

Annette Lucks (*1952 Regensburg) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. During various residencies and scholarships, she devoted herself to graphic printing techniques and ceramic painting in particular. In her works, Lucks combines drawing, printmaking and painting, but also incorporates fragments of text. She approaches her motifs by touching and circling them, combining feelings and experiences in a multi-layered pictorial space. By overpainting, overdrawing, collaging and piecing together, she creates a complex fabric that repeatedly condenses into something recognizable - usually human faces and bodies.
