When the play begins, Tamino is at the bottom, powerless, powerless, disoriented. His path to recognizing his existence leads through riddles and trials. He encounters three untrustworthy ladies, a merry soul-catcher, three strange boys, a sinister queen, an unhappy lover, a powerful sage and finally Pamina, the other half of his self. In his first opera production, Nuremberg's ballet director Goyo Montero presents Mozart's musical fairy tale as a dangerous, adventurous and confident journey of two people - or is it just one? - to themselves.
