Die Zärtlichkeit is a German indie pop band from Cologne.
Shortly after Andreas Fischer and Tobias Emmerich met in 2019, they wrote their first songs and recorded them in their home studio.

They took the British guitar pop of the 80s as a model: The Smiths, Orange Juice, Felt. Those formations sounded velvety soft and although their melodies were certainly upbeat, they were always born out of sensitivity.

After several self-released works, the first album Heimweh Meisterwerke was released by Tapete Records at the end of 2023, followed by smaller club concerts throughout Germany.

In the meantime, the band has been working on new material, which will be released on April 25, 2025 by Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten: popsongs.

"Created in the perpetual spiral movement with and towards oneself are ten personal songs. A departure from epic pop theater. Songs as an end in themselves. A soundtrack and a space for you, your thoughts, perspectives and feelings.

Shaped by the last two years in the pop circus and in our private lives, the disappointments and fears, always on the verge of capitulation and yet slowly and steadily drifting towards the versions we are today.

Held together by our love of pop. Rougher. More direct. And, as we find ourselves: even more to the point than with our previous releases. "
