Die Walküren

In the organizer's words:

"What do you want, you embarrassing god?"

"We hold the runes in embers and beat them, bend them, ha! That you may not recognize your heritage! We want to laugh or die!" shout the Valkyries from their captivity 12,357 meters above sea level. They, the daughters of the god Wotan, chained to the rock but blessed with the clearest view of the world, see, analyze and judge what is going on on this earth - and there is a lot going on. Wotan, an out-of-shape god, fathered the twins Sieglinde and Siegmund, who in turn fathered a son, Siegfried, who could mean redemption for the world. And this world is in urgent need of redemption. For the land lies fallow. And then there is Brünnhilde, the only one of the Valkyries who has left the rock and intervenes in the action. Marie Bues will stage Caren Jeß' attack on the German myth: a turning point, a new narrative, clever, sharp and often very funny.
