A day of extreme challenges in the president's staff office: international crisis meetings, a serious press scandal that needs to be contained, overlapping appointments that cannot be postponed and an upcoming election campaign. So the office manager, the press officer, the secretary and the First Lady have their hands full, especially as the President himself is absent. To make matters worse, the boss's pregnant mistress from the provinces, his sister who has been released from prison and has drug problems, and an investigative journalist with a ravenous appetite for explosive details all turn up at the office.

If it is true that comedies are there to highlight the flaws in the system in order to shed light on reality, then the farce by US author Selina Fillinger is a prime example of this genre. However, her Broadway debut not only takes the grotesque excessive demands of the political system to the extreme, but is also an attack on the patriarchy using the means of farce.

Claudia Bauer is bringing this comedy for seven women to its German-language premiere. She regularly directs at the Munich Residenztheater, Schauspiel Leipzig and Volkstheater Vienna. Her works have been invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen several times. She was awarded the NESTROY Prize in 2022 for her acclaimed Jandl evening "humanistääää".
