DIE SACHE MIT DEN BÄUMEN

In the organizer's words:

Armada Theater | Performance for spectators aged 12 and over | As part of the Focus on: Raw Materials - Buried Secrets

The time has come! After a year of hard-hitting research and journalistic clear-cutting, Bobby Kim is finally going live on air again. So be there when the popular presenter welcomes her illustrious guests to talk to them about the forest ecosystem. Whether live in the TV studio or on air: Exciting guests from politics and science, intrepid reporters and show acts with a catchy tune guarantee.

And it is more urgent than ever. In order to satisfy our civilization's immense hunger for wood, overexploitation continues unabated, while forests are burning all over the world, the seasons are shifting and the rainforests are on the verge of collapse.

In its fast-paced performance in TV show format, the Armada Theater deals relentlessly, bitterly but always humorously with questions such as: What consequences does our consumption have for the forests on our doorstep and on the other side of the planet? What role do they play in our global climate and the continued existence of the Homo Sapiens species? And: What can we do to save our forests?

Armada Theater is an independent collective from North Rhine-Westphalia and stands for unconventional stage productions that appeal to everyone - children, young people and adults. Founded in 2013 by Clara Gohmert and Michael Zier, the group interweaves filmic elements, puppet and object theater, physical theater and (live) music to create absurdly entertaining stage performances about the pressing issues of our time: ecology, climate protection and more.
Armada's explicit aim is to convey complex relationships in a playfully light-hearted way - sometimes bitterly angry, sometimes trashy, sometimes
hilarious and usually everything together. With plenty of humor, pop culture and the use of live cameras, Armada takes the audience on crowded highways, empty rivers and lets them rock on Antarctic ice floes or trudge deep into tropical rainforests. They create entire worlds in miniature format, using upcycled materials.
