Die Kühnemann

In the organizer's words:

Kühnemann has been part of the Munich cultural scene for many years. Be it as a music cabaret artist, chanson singer, filmmaker or radio presenter. The idea for the album ZEITLOS was born during the Corona period, which she released in fall 2024. She calls herself a "songwriter" but that would be too short. She doesn't just write songs, she performs and lives them out on stage.

She presents the program with a lot of wit and charm and often moves us to tears with her expressive voice.

She put the band together for the CD presentation and they stayed: Wolfi Hierl, electric guitar (Roland Herfter's Isarrider, among others) He provides the nuances and phrasing, spans the arcs within the songs and in between he also hits us around the ears with a guitar solo that is quite something. Gerhard Hofstetter on bass is a big band veteran and provides Kühnemann with strong backing.

Wolfgang Peyerl, drums (e.g. Ecco Di Lorenzo and his Innersoul) is allowed to give free rein to his creativity with the Kühnemann. It doesn't just groove, it whispers, rattles and roars violently.

What would it be like to be James Dean? Unfortunately, our lives would have been over long ago. How much power is there in fear? Is the brave new world really so beautiful? Where do we actually experience the perfect day? Would a life without "maybe" be a better life?

Kühnemann knows how to wrap up unpleasant truths in such a way that everything is no longer quite so bad.

She apologizes for her street dog from Romania, tells us about Hans, the technician, who must have had a pretty good guardian angel all his life, and politics and love are not neglected either.

Her second solo CD has just been released on the indie label MON MARI ET MOI and the songs are as varied as life itself. Sometimes rocky, romantic, sad and then again with a wink.
