Die Jungen im Kunstverein

The Junge im Kunstverein is a platform for anyone who is looking to engage with art and exchange ideas with like-minded people. Here you can meet new people, network and learn more about art in direct conversation with art historians, artists and gallery owners.
At the next event on October 1, curator Maren Hüppe will guide us through the "Pauli Prize 2024" exhibition . After almost 50 years, the Böttcherstrasse Art Prize has been renamed and will continue as the Pauli Prize. The €30,000 art prize, one of the most important prizes for contemporary art in Germany, will be awarded for the 49th time in 2024. It honors artists living in the German-speaking world for an outstanding contribution to contemporary art. Of the eight nominated artists, the jury has awarded the Pauli Prize to Gabriele Stötzer.
On November 26, the exhibition "ars viva 2025" - another contemporary art prize, where the three winning positions will be exhibited. The ars viva prize for fine art has been awarded since 1953 by the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. to outstanding young artists living in Germany whose artistic work demonstrates an independent formal language and an awareness of contemporary issues. This year's award for young artists in the field of visual arts goes to Wisrah C. V. da R. Celestino (*1989), Vincent Scheers (*1990) and Helena Uambembe (*1994).
