"Take yourself for a ride - then you'll save others the work!" (Heinz Erhardt)
We are delighted to be sending the successful show about the unforgotten prankster on a major tour of Germany.
The humorist, actor, composer, cabaret artist and poet Erhardt once said of himself that he had "a roguish streak in his neck". He was, and probably still is, the uncrowned king of German humor, the grand master of silly jokes and amusing puns. Unforgotten and unrivaled!
The premiere of the first Heinz Erhardt musical was celebrated in Hamburg in November 2017. Among the guests were the daughters and granddaughter of the clumsy humorist with the horn-rimmed glasses, who complimented the ensemble on the musical. Initially planned as a guest performance, the Erhardt musical was such a hit that it has become a perennial favorite at the Heimattheater, Hamburg's traditional Engelsaal.
In the two-hour program, the performers Stefan Linker (Heinz Erhardt impersonator), Ralf Steltner, Karin Westfal and Kornelia Kirwald engage in a veritable exchange of blows and recite one Heinz Erhardt poem after another. They are accompanied by piano, saxophone and drums. Rousing melodies to humorous texts, combined with the life story of Germany's greatest comedian, promise a good mixture of spoken and sung texts.
The most beautiful poems and ballads of the comic genius are skillfully put together and staged in one cast. Whether Knight Fips or King Erl, whether maggot or cow, even the sour lemons and the G-sketch will be performed.
The audience is treated to a firework display of wordplay, a musical full of comic memories of the droll, exceptional humorist. Let yourself be whisked away into the world of Heinz Erhardt, you won't be able to stop laughing. That's a promise!
