Diana Salles: DELUSIONAL - I Killed a Man

"DELUSIONAL - I Killed a Man" is a contemporary circus show that takes the audience on a trans woman's journey to find herself.

Born in 1996 in São Paulo, Brazil, the artist Diana Salles explores the agonizing feeling of having murdered her former self - an experience that many trans people have when they leave their assigned gender behind.

In her solo debut, Diana Salles combines aerial acrobatics with dance and song to create a spectacular physical theater performance and invites us to reflect on the physical and emotional strength it takes to answer the call of one's true self.

Diana Salles has already received several awards for her performances. These include the Bronze Medal at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain 2017, the Silver Prize and Public Choice's Prize at the Iberoamerican Circus Festival (FIRCO) 2019 and the Best of Fringe - International Bursary Award at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival in 2023.
