Destinesia

Destinesia describes the feeling of having forgotten the actual purpose of a journey by the time you reach your destination. Taking people on a journey of sound and telling stories are the cornerstones of this modern jazz quintet. Since its formation in 2016, the band has toured clubs, living rooms and churches across Germany, constantly searching for new forms of expression and musical challenges.
The quintet draws its inspiration from everyday life, literature, but also travels to the other side of the world. With their second album "Schimmer" (2023), Destinesia once again manages the balancing act between improvisation and composition, soft tones and harsh dissonances, odd meters and groove.
