About the event:
The Hamburg multi-instrumentalist Derya Yıldırım is a pioneer of Turkish-European crossover. She has been learning piano, guitar, ud, saxophone and bağlama since she was a child. From 2013 to 2016, she studied at the Hamburg University of Music and continued her studies of bağlama with Taner Akyol at the Berlin University of the Arts. With the Turkish lute, Anatolian folk sounds and her multi-layered voice, she immerses her audience in a world of melancholy sounds.
A third of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the association Lückenlos e.V.of the nationwide action alliance "Dissolve the NSU complex"
About the artist:
Derya Yıldırım performs in various constellations and projects. With her international band Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, she has perfected the anadolu psychedelia sound and has already released three studio albums. In spring 2025, the long-awaited fourth album will be released on the US label Big Crown Records.

All public areas of the Schwankhalle are accessible at ground level and without steps.
There is no seating in the hall during the concert, but it is possible to sit in the stands. Please contact our evening staff if you require alternative seating. You can enter and leave the hall at any time during the concert.
There are three different toilets: a barrier-free toilet that can also be used by wheelchair users, a toilet with 3 toilet cubicles and a toilet with urinals and a toilet cubicle.
You can also specify individual requirements such as specific seats, early boarding or an additional ticket for an accompanying person when purchasing or reserving your ticket.
