The cosmic background radiation is often referred to as the "baby picture" of the universe. In this lecture, we will take a journey back almost 14 billion years to understand how this radiation was created and what it tells us today about the composition of the universe. We will shed light on how astronomers and physicists used this "snapshot" to determine the proportions of normal matter, dark matter and dark energy and what role these mysterious components play in the development of the universe.
Dr. Tim-Eric Rathjen from the University of Cologne will provide a vivid insight into the components of our universe and the exciting science behind them.
