Play for all ages 4 and up

based on the picture book by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros

One day, as if out of nowhere, it appears: the tired and dusty creature. Pushing a suitcase in front of him, he meets the rabbit, bird and fox, who just happen to be nearby. Suspicious and curious at the same time, they observe the new arrival. Where has it come from? What does it want here? But they are most interested in the suitcase. What do they think is inside? A cup, a table, a chair and a small kitchenette, answers the creature before it falls asleep from sheer exhaustion. Impossible! the three of them agree and make a mess of the suitcase in no time at all.

Antonia Brix's production is based on the picture book by British author Chris Naylor-Ballesteros and, like the original, makes do with just a few sentences. The four actors use strong atmospheric images and poetically playful sounds to tell the story of being a stranger and arriving; of making mistakes and the power of forgiveness.

Please note: The venue is barrier-free. A barrier-free toilet is available. The play is partially accompanied by German sign language and does not require many words.
