We are looking forward to waking the Metronom Theater from its "Sleeping Beauty" slumber with an absolute musical classic at the start of the season on November 29, 2024. The Spirit of Christmas, based on the well-known story of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens from 1843, celebrated its world premiere in Oberhausen 20 years ago and is now returning to Oberhausen as one of the most successful German Christmas musicals. A play full of magic and contemplation - and of course the spirit of Christmas.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the final cast of the main characters of the musical "The Spirit of Christmas":

The talented singer and musical actress Marie Wegener takes on the role of the angel who plays the crucial part in the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. Her unique voice and stage presence will make the angel a true shining light on stage.

In the central role of Ebenezer Scrooge, the audience can look forward to Felix Martin. With his extraordinary acting and singing talent, he brings to life the transformation of the miserly, hard-hearted man into one of the greatest Christmas miracles in literary history.

The spirit of Christmas is portrayed by Tim Wilhelm. With his charm and charisma, he will whisk the audience away into the mysterious world of spirits that accompany Scrooge on his path to contemplation.
