In Memoriam David Lynch: In memory of David Lynch, who died on January 15, 2025, the DFF Cinema is showing the complete works of the US cult director in cooperation with the arthouse cinemas.

Joseph Merrick was a simple, troubled and special man, a tragic figure who seems to have been made for the screen. The film tells the story of a deformed British man whose physical deformities soon brought him dubious fame as a curiosity and unique object of study. No other film from David Lynch's diverse early creative phase is characterized by comparable sadness and despair. The fact that Merrick's life story is a real case that caused a sensation in England in the late 19th century may only reinforce this effect.
