Depui - Chansons, Rock & Folk

Bent Ivar Depui Tversland sings about selling your soul, about your own destiny, about hope, about light, about many a stroke of fate, about falling down and getting up - and he sings impressively. His simple choice of words is expressive and to the point, describing scenes of failure not in stories but rather in messages, painting pictures of overcoming and even "old childhood dreams" of wanting to be a king who makes everything good.

The distinctive voice of Norwegian frontman Bent Ivar Depui Tversland is reminiscent of a mixture of Tom Waits and Joe Cocker. Their music is inspired by Balkan rhythms and French chansons, plaster music and rock with a good pinch of folk music.

They have already made a name for themselves in Norway and France. Their song "King" was played for 8 weeks on one of the biggest radio stations "NRK P1" and "Start Healing" was played for 19 weeks on "Radio Sør". Their album 'Manhood' was rated 8 out of 10 possible points by the Norwegian press. Two songs were also played during the Olympic Games broadcast on Norwegian television.

DEPUI have been touring with an international line-up since 2014. In addition to frontman Bent Ivar Depui Tversland, the line-up includes Regina Mudrich (violin) and Martin Zemke (bass). Juri Reckeweg (drums), Nico Aros (drums) and Tammy Reckeweg (guitar) complete the band.
