‼️ Demo call from Freiraumkollektiv Köln:

Come and show the city of Cologne how colorful, diverse and loud Cologne's open spaces are!
We are a citizens' initiative that campaigns for the preservation of non-commercial and socio-cultural open spaces. Our collective brings together representatives of various artistic groups, organizations and places that promote art, culture and participation.

What are open spaces?

Non-profit places where people can help shape and have a say.

Why are they so important?

Open spaces promote exchange, creativity and a focus on humanity rather than profit maximization.

They enable participation and strengthen a vibrant community - an essential contribution to quality of life.

What are we fighting for?

- Used spaces are increasingly being bought up by private investors, alternative spaces are expensive and rare.

- At the same time, the state is cutting funding for art, culture and social affairs.

What will remain of Cologne if its subculture and the places where diverse urban culture grows disappear?

Our demands to the city of Cologne:

- Protection of socio-cultural and non-commercial venues from real estate sharks and private investors.

- Appreciation and financial support for the socio-cultural work that characterizes our city.

- Community ownership instead of privatization.

- More co-determination in the design of our neighborhoods.

4 p.m. running demonstration

- Finish: 5 pm, BüZe in Ehrenfeld, where two hours of program with several musical acts await us!
