DEAF DEAF DEAF from Manchester play post-punk that is more sonically diverse than that of many other big names in the genre and also has references to the shoegaze sound. It thumps, it creeps into a triumphant gear and shows that this band has the potential to become far better known. Their sound is chilled, yet has a warmth that immediately envelops you, combining jangly guitars, monotonous basslines, driving drumming and is damn rich in influences. Added to this is the booming, deep voice of frontman Nathan Hill, which immediately casts a spell over you. The quintet has already built up a loyal fan base throughout the UK and the Netherlands and this evening you can see this insider tip for yourself. DRÜCKEBERGER - The trend is unmistakable: for some time now, there has been a whole wave of young German musicians who are using the democratized technical possibilities of music recording - an expensive studio is no longer necessary to achieve good results - to realize their idea of modern, German-language (pop) music. They often take their cue from the New Wave of earlier times, with personal lyrics and catchy melodies. Edwin Rosen, Konstantin Unwohl and DRÜCKEBERGER from Saarbrücken are leading the way and are now releasing their debut album on YOUNG & COLD RECORDS. His songs are characterized by painfully personal lyrics, melancholy and longing. He moves between romantic dreampop and gloomy darkwave, sometimes as an acoustic embrace and sometimes as salt in the wound.
