The wonderful life of Margot Heuman

This documentary play is based on Anna Hájková's research into the queer history of the Holocaust. The protagonist Margot Heuman (1928-2022) talks about her experiences as a lesbian teenager in Theresienstadt, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Neuengamme. The play presents a more nuanced history of the Shoah and focuses on aspects of queerness, Jewishness, sexual violence and agency. - An event in cooperation with denk(t)räume, University of Hamburg, Neuengamme Memorial and Initiative Dessauer Ufer.
